About the Role
In the role of HGV Driver, you will be a key person in the day-to-day delivery of goods. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a knowledge of the roofing world; however, this is not essential.
The main duties and responsibilities will be;
• Delivering goods to our customers on a daily basis.
• Carry out daily checks of your vehicle before leaving the yard.
• Make any issues with your vehicle known to your manager immediately.
• Ensure you abide by the road traffic laws at all times.
• Ensure you take the appropriate breaks on your tachograph.
• Check and sign your load off every morning before leaving the yard.
• Ensure your deliveries are loaded safely and strapped down appropriately.
• The appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
• Supporting the yard staff when needed.
About you
We would love to hear from candidates who have the required licences and are keen to join a family business.
You will need experience of;
• Capable of working on their own but also a team player
• Excellent verbal communication skills as they will be in contact with customers on a daily basis
• Eager to learn and develop their skills.
• Excellent customer service skills
The ideal candidate will need to hit the ground running with the key attributes of becoming a key member of our Norwich team.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience.
