We are currently looking for someone who will serve customers by selling products and services and meeting their needs. The successful candidate will ensure the customer service journey follows the company motto, “Where service comes first.” And will always communicate professionally and enthusiastically with the client to encourage return business.

We are currently looking for someone who will serve customers by selling products and services and meeting their needs. What will I be doing?
Not one day is the same as the next in AJW daily working life, but here are a few pointers;
General/Daily duties:
• Generate sales by targeting existing and new customers daily. Always make contact via telephone and confirm conversations via email.
• Serve customers at the trade counter, offering fast and effective service and advice as required.
• Promote additional sales through targeting upselling.
• Respond to all customer enquiries as quickly as possible.
• Deal with stock line quotations only utilising system pricing.
• Email all quotations and immediately follow up with a phone call to ensure the recipient has received the quotation. Agree on and set a chase date.
• Chase all quotations through to a conclusion. Recording any lost quotes and reasons why.
• Process orders for the sales teams, ensuring all details are correct.
• Order any non-stock items required for orders whilst consulting with colleagues.
• Ensure orders are booked for delivery on the correct date where specified.
• Process all system tickets with all details, ensuring the correct information is in the proper boxes to allow effective reporting.
• Provide general administration support to the branch team.
• Answer all telephone calls ideally within two rings, being the first responder to incoming calls.
• Route calls to appropriate individuals and ensure all messages are relayed promptly.
• Support the yard staff when required to pick, pack, load and offload materials using manual handling and forklift trucks.
• Assist with stock cycle counts.
• Always wear the correct uniform and PPE.
Monthly: Report to your Branch Manager on the following each month: -
1. Quotations lost and reasons why.
2. Quotations won.
3. Prospect customers found.
4. Prospect customers converted, and orders won.
5. Any suggestions on improving our offering to the customer base?
Experience in the Roofing Industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
