About the Role
In the role of Sales Assistant, you will be a key part in supporting the AJW St Neots team in the day-to-day running of the branch. Ideally, the successful candidate will have some basic knowledge of the roofing world; however, if they are keen to learn and develop their knowledge, this can be basic knowledge. This role is perfect for someone keen to start a career in sales.
The main duties and responsibilities will be;
• Dealing with all incoming enquiries in an efficient manner.
• General Admin duties, including processing sales orders, allocating correct stock items, and ordering any non-stock items, for example.
• Actively researching and targeting new customers.
• Develop a sales strategy for your area in order to increase sales
• Able to appropriately promote new products
• Servicing and maintaining existing customer accounts.
• Trade counter customer service and support.
• Demonstrate good time management and organisational skills
• Coordinate and prepare any samples or information / brochures required by customers.
About you

You will need experience of;
• Ability to prioritise their workload alongside the Manager.
• A team player but also has the initative to work on your own.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as they will be in contact with customers on a daily basis
• With attention to detail being key due to the nature of the business.
• Eager to learn and develop their skills.
• Computer literate and be capable of learning new systems.
• Excellent customer service skills
