Cedral weatherboard cladding, the perfect answer for dramatically improving the appearance of a tired looking family home
As a major stockist of Marley Eternit Cedral Weatherboard across East Anglia AJW were delighted to be involved with this project
The challenge
The owner of this striking property set in a delightful riverside location was looking at ways to improve the appearance of the building altogether and brighten up the external split level elevations.
The solution
Having previously used Blue Cedral cladding on the original house, the client, a Landscape Architect and Developer wanted to explore the possibilities of using Cedral weatherboard again as external cladding on the larger area. Having attended several meetings and assisted in sorting out the technical requirements, and site measuring AJW supplied approximately 170no lengths of cladding in CO1 white and all the necessary purpose made trims for the various door, window and corner details. Working with his father a retired builder, the owner set about the task of fitting the Cedral Weatherboard to the various elevations of the property. The installation process went very smoothly, and the finished result in an outstanding example of just what can be achieved using Cedral weatherboard
The results
The appearance of the building has been changed dramatically, and the overall look with the modern clean lines is very pleasing on the eye. In addition to the improved appearance, the cladding is virtually maintenance free in comparison to the need for regular attention to the previous finishes
