AJW Group Welcomes Chris Rice as Regional Manager
AJW Group is proud to announce the appointment of Chris Rice as Regional Manager, marking an important step in the company’s continued growth and development.
Chris joins the family-run business as a key addition to the leadership team. In his role, he will support, develop and mentor the managers across AJW’s seven depots, helping to strengthen performance and drive consistency across the business.
Bringing with him over 30 years of experience within the construction supplies industry, Chris offers a wealth of knowledge, strong commercial understanding, and a genuine passion for the sector—qualities that were evident throughout the recruitment process.
As AJW continues its evolution from a small family-run operation into a larger, more structured business—alongside the gradual stepping back of founder Alan Woods—the appointment reflects a strategic focus on strengthening leadership to support future growth. Chris will play a pivotal role in supporting the directors in taking the business to the next level.
Tom Woods, Managing Director of AJW Group, commented: “We are extremely excited to welcome Chris to the business. His expertise within the construction supplies and merchanting sector, combined with his strong industry background, will be invaluable as we continue to grow and develop. We’re confident Chris will have a significant impact on the progression of AJW”
Chris has held several senior roles throughout his career, including positions with Travis Perkins, Ridgeons, Marshalls Landscaping, and most recently as Southern Divisional Manager at TradePoint, part of B&Q.
Chris Rice said: “I am delighted to be joining such a flourishing and well-respected business in East Anglia. The opportunity to support a management team within a company that still holds strong family values and a clear focus on customer service is incredibly exciting. With my background across merchanting, manufacturing and trade retail, I look forward to bringing new ideas and ways of working to what is already a very successful business.”
