Donald Goldsworthy-Ellson the companies ‘Transport Manager’ feels the wagon & drag is a great asset to the companies transport portfolio, where before we were doing collections from Marley two days per week, the latest addition with a carrying capacity of 24 tonnes, makes it much more cost effective and gives our Essex branch more scope to schedule deliveries for their customers. Our ‘Branch Managers’ know that depot transfers allow them to order more stock, knowing that balances are a thing of the past.

Shaun is the main driver of the wagon and drag and so I asked him what do you think of the truck?, in his own words  ”It’s a nice bit of kit, nice to drive and it does its job”. As the Transport Manager, I am happy with his reply as it shows that it is working for the company already. Shaun went to Southampton docks earlier this week and collected 24 tonne of CUPA natural slate shipped in from Spain on behalf of our Cambridge depot; this is ideal as it saves on 3^rd party haulage costs.
