An Asbestos over sheet Roofing Project
The challenge
The owner of the buildings came to us for help and advice on how to solve the leaks in his roof and gutters. We advised him that the old asbestos roof was beyond repair and would need either removing and replacing or over sheeting. We put forward various trusted roofing contractors to quote for the work. Teyfarm systems were chosen to carry out the works
The solution
We worked closely with Teyfarm systems to offer a full over clad system to enclose the existing roof and gutters. Teyfarm Systems also advised the client to extend the roof sheets to extend over the existing internal box gutters and to fit a new Trimline gutter system to the external fascia’s instead. This eradicated the risk of internal leaks due to faulty gutters, a common problem with this style of gutter. We supplied a full envelope system comprising of
- Treated timber purlins
- Insulation wool
- 7mm Plastisol roof sheets
- GRP roof lights to replace the existing and new external roof light
- Plastisol flashings and fabrications
- Trimline gutters
- Customised galvanised up stands for the new electronic smoke vents
- Fixings and mastics
- UPVC rainwater pipes and fittings
The results
Working alongside Teyfarm systems we enclosed the old existing roof with a new system to eradicate any leaks in the roof and gutters.
