Description
Introduction
FILON Monarch-F factory assembled rooflights are designed for use on standing seam and secret fix roofing systems, continuous ridge applications and flat roofs. They are also suitable for shallow roof pitches and curved roofs down to a minimum 25m radius.
Tough and durable
FILON Monarch-F rooflights are fabricated from high quality FILON GRP sheets which are robust, shatter resistant and unaffected by extremes of temperature. Long-term surface protection is provided by Filon Protect, a UV absorbing film that is applied to the weather surface during manufacture. Accelerated weather tests by an independent test laboratory under Clause 5 of BS EN 1013:1-1998 Part1 have classified FILON Monarch-F rooflights as follows:
Clause 5.2: Light Transmission – Category Lo
Clause 5.4 Variation of Yellow Index and Light Transmission after ageing procedure – Classification Ao
These are the highest classifications under this standard.
Monarch F rooflights are supplied with FILON CEDR24E double reinforced top sheets providing a class B non-fragile rooflight for an expected period of 25 years.
Out-of-plane design reduces risk of accidents
Monarch F rooflights project above the plane of the roof. This is one of the primary recommendations of the HSE to reduce the risk of persons falling through the rooflight
Excellent light diffusion
FILON GRP sheet scatters transmitted light, to ensure even light distribution without internal glare, excessive shadows or hot spots. This makes Monarch-F rooflights ideal for all kinds of applications including areas where natural light is required for working spaces such as factories and warehouses.
