AJW Distribution Ltd is an independently-owned company that supplies roofing, cladding, and building materials to contractors, builders, merchants and the general public. The firm celebrated its 20th anniversary at its Norwich premises on Drayton Road by hosting a party with cakes, a lucky dip and a number of customer offers.
AJW Norwich has also seen a number of internal developments this year, with some notable staff progressing in their careers. Stewart Miles was promoted to business development manager for Norfolk and Suffolk and now oversees both the Norwich and Bury St Edmunds depots. He will be working with the branch managers to develop the business.
Stewart said: “I am extremely excited to be given a new challenge within the AJW family. Over the past two years, we have made so many new connections that have developed into strong relationships. Norfolk and Suffolk customers are great to work with and we are looking forward to their continued business into 2023.’’
Robert Dennis was also promoted to branch manager of the Norwich depot earlier this year, to fill the vacant role that Stewart left. Robert has proven himself as an extremely valuable member of the team and is ready for the challenge.
“I am absolutely delighted to have been offered this opportunity to step up to run the Norwich depot and business,” he said. “I’m really glad that the hard work Stewart and myself have put in over the past couple of years is coming to fruition, both for the business and personally for the two of us.
“I am really happy with the team we have put together in Norwich and feel that we are well on the road to being known as the best roofing merchant in the area.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Stewart and everyone here in Norwich to drive the branch forward and keep building the strong relationships with our customers that have seen us become so successful to this point.”
Working alongside Rob will be the sales team, which includes Nick Hale and Mickey Lovett. Sam McGee joined the team to develop the company’s relationships with merchants in Norfolk and Suffolk, and Simon Hunt works in the yard. Finally, AJW has three drivers in Peter Higgins, Andy Maddox and Brian Cooper.
AJW Norwich has also expanded its fleet of vehicles from the Norwich depot, allowing the company to service more customers daily.
Robert added “Now that we have a solid team in place, we hope to continue to develop our customer base to ensure that we support all local roofers and builders with all they need for their roofing and cladding projects,”
