As a company AJW like to support local and national charities with raising money and what better way to get in the Christmas mood than wearing our Christmas Jumpers to raise money by supporting ITV’s ‘Text Santa’. All four of the depots did a fantastic job with supporting this charity and adorned their Christmas Jumpers on Friday 17th December.

We gave the depots the option to bake cakes and sell these to their customers to. We are proud to say that we have some fantastic bakers and so we managed to make some extra money by selling these goodies to our staff and customers.

The Chatteris branch really threw themselves into supporting the text santa day. The christmas jumpers featuring all the festive characters and even flashing lights, were much in evidence with most of the staff dressing up for the day.

The call to bake cakes to sell to our customers on the day was answered with a wide selection of home cooked treats. The trade counter resembled a scene from the great British bake off with a scrummy selection including a very light sponge cake, tea cake, cheese scones, a rich fruit cake, mince pies, spiced treacle tray bake, and butterfly buns. Our customers were spoilt for choice with some taking a selection of cakes back to their work mates! Everyone enjoyed the day and we were happy to support the charities involved who will benefit.
