Binton Road – Timeless beauty and strong heritage
The timeless beauty and strong heritage of Marley’s Hawkins Fired Sienna clay plain roof tile made it the perfect specification choice for a new four home property development in Welford, near Stratford upon Avon.
Situated in a picturesque Warwickshire village, the four new detached properties had to fit seamlessly into the surrounding country landscape, while also meeting strict planning regulations. With this in mind, the selection of the Hawkins clay tile in Fired Sienna helped provide the perfect finish to an exquisite addition to the village.
Keith Greenall, Managing Director for developers, Greenall Construction, said: “The mock Tudor architectural style, incorporating natural materials such as wood for the properties, meant we wanted to find a roofing solution in keeping with the overall look we had established.
“The development required a clay tile which perfectly matched the aesthetics of other properties within the village. Working with Marley, we selected a sample of the Hawkins Fired Sienna range and submitted it to the local planning regulators for approval. The planning committee was happy with the choice as the clay material and finish aptly suited the ambience and style of the development and the local area.”
Over 50,000 tiles were used to complete the four individual roof spaces and were straightforward to install, when the initial build commenced in February 2018.
