AJW Distribution is proud to celebrate the one-year anniversary of its first acquisition, Castle Roofing Supplies. This milestone marks a successful transition and integration, strengthening AJW’s commitment to exceptional customer service and product offerings.

Reflecting on this achievement, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ken Smith for his 33 years of dedicated service to Castle Roofing Supplies. Under Ken’s leadership, the company grew from humble beginnings into a respected and trusted merchant. His hard work and dedication to customer service have left an enduring legacy, and we thank him for his contributions.

Customer service has always been a core value at AJW Distribution, and we are delighted that Castle Roofing Supplies has seamlessly upheld this standard. The past year has seen a smooth and stress-free transition, a testament to the outstanding character and adaptability of the Castle team. Their enthusiasm and commitment have ensured the depot continues to excel under the AJW banner. A major milestone in this transition was the successful merger of Castle Roofing Supplies into the AJW Distribution company and computer system in September 2024. Since then, the depot has solidified its position within the AJW Group, and we are excited about the future.

As we move into 2025, we are confident in the leadership of Simon Wall as Branch Manager, supported by rising star Harvey Darville, along with the dedication of Ben Smith and Paul Hostead who continue to deliver outstanding service. Watch this space for exciting new additions to the team!

In addition to structural developments, we are excited to introduce new product lines across flat roofing, sheeting, cladding, insulation, and timber sectors, further enhancing our offerings at the Castle site.

Ken Smith, former owner of Castle Roofing Supplies, shared his thoughts on the transition:

“It is almost a year since the sale of Castle Roofing Supplies Ltd to the AJW Distribution Group. I was determined to sell the business only to a company that would continue the same ethos that Castle Roofing Supplies had been known for by both its customers and suppliers. After this first year, I am delighted with the way things have been handled and the attitude of the directors and staff at AJW. I am sure I made the right decision in allowing Castle Roofing Supplies to become part of their group. I wish them every success for the future.”
