As 2024 unfolded, our team embarked on a heartfelt journey to support Farleigh Hospice, an organization with a special place in our hearts. This year, we dedicated our efforts to raise funds in honour of Ray, whose memory continues to inspire us.

Throughout the year, we engaged in various fundraising activities, each one bringing us closer to our goal. One of the standout events was a 24-hour bike ride, where team members cycled around the clock, pushing their limits for a cause that meant so much. The sense of camaraderie and determination was palpable as the pedals turned and the miles were covered.

Another highlight was our charity golf day, which brought together employees, customers, and suppliers for a day of fun on the greens. The event was not only a chance to enjoy the sport but also to reflect on the importance of the work Farleigh Hospice does for patients like Ray.

We also organized several raffles, with generous contributions from our customers, adding an element of excitement and anticipation to our fundraising efforts. Each raffle ticket purchased was a step towards making a difference in the lives of those at the hospice.

In addition to these events, charity pots were placed in each of our depots, allowing for everyday acts of kindness to contribute to our cause. These small but meaningful donations accumulated over time, showcasing the collective power of giving.

As the year drew to a close, Donald and Charlotte had the honour of presenting the cheque to Farleigh Hospice. The visit to the hospice was a poignant reminder of why we had embarked on this journey. It was an opportunity to see firsthand the incredible work being done for patients, providing a compassionate space for people to spend their final weeks. Hearing about the care and support offered to patients like Ray reaffirmed our commitment to the cause.

Farleigh Hospice is truly a wonderful place, offering not just medical care but also emotional support and dignity to its patients. It is a beacon of hope and comfort in times of great need, and we are proud to have supported their mission.
