It’s Employee Appreciation Day!
It’s that wonderful time of the year where we get to give a public shout out about our amazing employees. That’s because it is #EmployeeAppreciationDay.
Our marketing team spent some time this week catching up with some of our branch managers to find out who they would like to recognise and appreciate in their teams.
AJW Chatteris
At AJW Chatteris branch manager Clair Bond, wanted to give Andrew Jackson a massive shout of appreciation for all of his hard work continually going above and beyond for the Chatteris branch.
Clair said: “Andrew is a long-time employee at AJW. He is the most helpful, knowledgeable, reliable person ever. He has done tonnes for Chatteris in terms of building new facilities & making repairs and saving the company loads of money in the process. He steps in whenever needed to cover other staff.
Andrew helps in the office and at the counter and assists us & customers with advice all the time.
Last year we had two drivers off sick at the same, so our Yard Manager had to drive, and AJ is only part-time but spent the next two months covering the full yard time managing it all by himself. This is no mean feat when we have two lorries to pick for every day, 3 in peak season on top of customer collections, supplier deliveries.
He steps up to the plate every time.”
AJW Essex
We also spoke to Lee Davies who is the branch manager at AJW Essex. Lee wanted to recognise all of the hard work that Owen Butler has been putting in at AJW Witham.
Lee said: “He is doing extra duties in the branch that he hasn’t been asked to do and taken it upon himself to take ownership of these. Always committed to his job and has settled in nicely with the team and his duties.”
AJW Sawston
Finally, we spoke to Sophie Wood, who is the branch supervisor at AJW Sawston. Sophie wanted to give multiple recognitions both to Paul Tierney and Adrian Cambridge.
Sophie had very kind words to say: “I would like to put Paul and Ada forward for here for their help with the branch while I have been doing other tasks such as pricing. It’s been a massive help with their support with just getting the job done with no complaint of what I have asked them to do
And Paul also for being my wingman in here helping with all the admin side and, in general, is my almost next in command.”
