We are looking for a lively, enthusiastic person to join our friendly and hardworking family-run business at our Witham branch as a Trade Counter.
You’ll be on the front line dealing with customers who come into our Branch. As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first-class service.
What will I be doing?
Not one day is the same as the next in AJW branch life, but here are a few pointers;
Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
• You will be based on the counter and first point of contact for all customers. You will be processing our customers’ orders, preparing quotes, keeping the shop floor clean and tidy, and putting away any stock that comes in.
• Answer and deal with any sales telephone enquiries efficiently.
• Respond to any emailed sales enquiries within 24 hours.
• Process any sales orders as received for orders whilst consulting with colleagues.
• Ensure orders are booked for delivery on the correct date where specified.
• Chase up all quotations within the relevant time scale to ensure optimum success.
• Record lost quotes with reason and email to your Branch manager
• Responsible for providing general administration support to the branch manager,
• Coordinate and prepare any samples or information/brochures required by customers.
Experience in the Roofing Industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
The ideal applicant will be the first point of contact for customers visiting the trade counter, so they must focus on customer service. They will be team players but also have the initiative to work independently. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as they will be in contact with customers daily. Attention to detail is key due to the nature of the business.
The successful candidate will be eager to learn and develop their skills. They will be computer literate and be capable of learning new systems. The ideal candidate will need to hit the ground running with the key attributes of becoming a key member of our Witham team.
Salary: £18,000.00-£25,000.00 per year dependent on experience
