About the Role

In the new role as Yardman, Trade counter sales and Driver you will be a key person in the day to day running of the depot. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a knowledge of the roofing world; however, this can be a basic knowledge if they are keen to learn and develop their knowledge.

The main duties and responsibilities will be;
• You will be processing your customers orders, preparing quotes, keeping the shop floor clean and tidy and putting away any stock that comes in.
• Deal with any walk in customers in the appropriate manner.
• Part of your role will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Forklift licence is preferred, if not the successful candidate will receive Full training in order to drive our forklifts once probation is passed.
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
• Ensure orders are booked for delivery on the correct date where specified.
• Chase up all quotations within the relevant time scale to ensure optimum success.

About you

You will need experience of;
• Ability to prioritise their workload alongside the Manager.
• A team player but also has the initative to work on your own.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as they will be in contact with customers on a daily basis
• With attention to detail being key due to the nature of the business.
• Eager to learn and develop their skills.
• Computer literate and be capable of learning new systems.
• Excellent customer service skills
