Where were you born?
I was born in a small village called Great Gidding but moved to Great Eversden when I was 4, this house is still my parents’ home now so is full of great memories.
Introduce us to your family
On the 29th June I became a Mum to my beautiful son ‘Ethan Christopher Fox’. So I am currently on maternity leave enjoying this precious time. My partner Adam is the doting Dad I knew he would be. We are loving this new challenge of being parents.
Do you have any pets?
We inherited our pets when we moved house last August so we now have pet fish.
What do you love?
I love spending time with family and friends. Life is to short and so time spent with loved ones is precious. I also love Thai food, chocolate, red wine and espresso martinis. I love to organise and be creative so when time allows I spend time writing my blog and also like to sew, with my latest project being bunting for my little boys room 🙂
What do you hate?
I don’t have many dislikes but things do infuriate me one being laziness. I also wouldn’t touch offal!
What kind of person are you?
I like to think I am a thoughtful, caring and generous person. I like to make time for my friends and family as there is nothing more important than the ones you love. In regards to work I am extremely hardworking and like to succeed in all that I do. I will always put 110% in to anything I try and am a keen learner as I feel it is so important to continue to develop yourself.
What brought you to AJW?
My brother Tom Woods suggested I follow in his footsteps and work for the family business 2 & a half years ago. I was unhappy in my current role and wanted a new fresh challenge and joining AJW was the challenge I needed.
How long have you worked for AJW?
I have worked for AJW for 2 and a half years. As it is our family business I feel like I was given such an amazing opportunity to join this growing business which my father set up years ago.
What does your job involve?
My job has been extremely varied since I started. I have developed the Health & Safety for the business, was the company contact for HR until recently. As well as these two roles as one of the company Directors it is my responsibility along with my fellow Directors to ensure that our company continues to develop and grow. Alongside this my main role is to develop the Marketing for the business.
Anything else to add?
I love to organise in fact my blog is based on organising events. I will always offer my help when friends and family have events to plan, it is such an achievement when something you have arranged all goes to plan and those attending have a great time.
