About the Role
In the new role as Accounts Ledger Clerk you will part of the accounts team at our head office in Chatteris. As a pro-active member of the accounts team, you will be expected to perform ad-hoc duties as and when requested by the Accounts Supervisor or Financial Director.
The main duties and responsibilities will be;
• Posting of daily cash receipts to customer accounts from all bank accounts and matching of transactions
• Posting and reconciliation of Cash and Card payments
• Cash, Card, BACS and VT account control, ensuring no transactions are left unreconciled each month
• Liaising with branches to ensure all transactions have been processed correctly
• Running ad hoc debtor reports as requested
• Posting receipts from Lloyds Invoice Finance Facility
• Matching of receipts on the cash customer accounts
• Taking customer card payments (Credit control cover only)
• Assisting with the opening of New Customer Credit and Cash Accounts
• Taking cheques to the post office
• Sending out any invoices/statements and letters by post
• Holiday cover for Credit Controller
• To assist purchase ledger with invoice processing
• Checking of supplier statements
• Opening of accounts post
• Posting petty cash receipts and reconciling the accounts on a monthly basis
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations
About you

• Ability to prioritise their workload alongside the Manager.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Computer literate and be capable of learning new systems.
• Excellent customer service skills
