Friday 11^th March saw the relaunch of our depot in Norwich to the local tradesman. We are well known in the area for our Industrial roofing products however we want to increase the local’s knowledge of us to be the local roofing centre where they can purchase all of their roofing items under one roof.

Alongside the Industrial roofing products Composite Roof and Wall panels, flashings, purlins and rails, galvanised sheets, single skin sheets, fibre cement sheeting, GRP & PVC roof lights and Coroline and Onduline.  We now have a vast product range including flat roofing products such as GRP systems, EDPM Single Ply plus primers, APP Waterproofing & SBS Bituminous waterproofing , plus a diverse range of tiles from Marley Eternit, Sandtoft and Redland. Alongside the tiles we offer all of your domestic roofing products which includes John Brash batten & shingles, Insulation, ALM rolled lead & Ubbink Ubiflex, Felt and Felt shingles, PVC Gutter systems, Roof lights and windows including Velux windows plus all of your roofing accessories such as nails, foam filers, tapes, sealants, solutions, tile vents, breather membrane and dry fix systems.  We are also proud to be the stockist for Marley Eternit Cedral weatherboard in East Anglia, we stock all of the colours available including the trims and touch up paints

We received great support from our many suppliers and had 22 stands at the event. Some of them were just showcasing their products for the customers to view and ask questions where as others were doing demonstrations to provide further details of how to use their products to the customers. These demonstrations accured through out the day and were greatly received from the customers who viewed them.

We like to ensure that those who attend are treated well so we fired up our BBQ and offered them breakfast bacon buttie’s or a lunch time burger or sausage. We have our very own chef Mr Mike Beale  who does a great BBQ for our events. We also gave everyone who attended an AJW goody bag which was full of various goodies including an AJW t-shirt plus some generous gifts from our suppliers.

Alongside the supplier demonstrations we ran a raffle and also a dart competition to enable us to raise money for a local charity. For this event we chose ‘The Royal British Legion’ due to two of our Norwich staff previously being in the services so we felt this charity fitted perfectly. Tony the longest standing member of staff from our Norwich depot retires later this month at the fantastic age of 75! He works in the yard 4 days a week and is a true legend at AJW.

We were lucky to have Tom a ‘Veteran’ from ‘The Royal British Legion’ attend our event to draw the raffle tickets for the lucky winners of the fabulous raffle prizes which we had been gifted from our many suppliers.  We received some truly generous gifts including a Golf Day, £100 M&S voucher, Cases of wine, DAB Radios, a music docking station, Amazon vouchers and many other goodies as you can see on the images attached. We would like to thank all of our suppliers who donated a prize for the raffle as without your generosity we would not have been able to have made this a success.

We would like to thank all those who bought tickets and we are proud to announce that we raised £255.00 for the charity and also received a £50.00 donation from one of our suppliers Flex-R.
